Streamers
You stream Rust and want a server where nobody hunts you using your own stream? On Nerux stream sniping is a bannable offence, and our player list cannot be read from outside. Everyone in the programme appears on this page the moment they go live.
In the programme
The live status is fetched from Twitch every two minutes.
Protection from stream sniping
Stream sniping rarely starts in the stream, it starts in the server list: whoever sees that you are online knows where to look. Three things are therefore set on our servers - not as a promise to streamers, but for everyone:
- No public player list: the Steam query of our servers is censored (
server.censorplayerlist). Tracking sites such as BattleMetrics cannot list who is playing. - No names on this website: we show player counts, never player names - and the server bot answers "who is online" with a number and nothing else.
- A rule with teeth: using someone's live stream to learn their position, base or gear is treated the same as cheating - see Fair play.
On top of that comes Rust's own streamer mode: it hides server names and replaces every player name with a fixed pseudonym. You switch it on in your game settings, we cannot do that for you - but together with the censored player list, little of the usual route remains.
What you get
- A spot on this page: the moment you go live your channel is listed at the top - with stream title and viewer count, linked to Twitch.
- An announcement on Discord: a "Streamer" role and a post in the announcement channel when you go live.
- A short line to us: a ticket that does not sit in the queue - if something breaks mid-stream, it comes first.
What deliberately does not exist: kits, better loot, reserved slots or any in-game advantage. Nerux promises that nobody can buy a head start - that holds when someone has a camera running, too.
What we expect
- You play here: the stream runs on a Nerux server, not somewhere else.
- You mention us: server name in the stream title, in a panel or in the description - whichever suits you.
- There is no minimum size: we do not ask about viewer counts. Twenty people actually watching mean more to us than a big number in a profile.
- The rules apply to you as well: a channel is not a free pass, and admin rights do not come with it.
Apply
Open a ticket on our Discord and tell us three things: your channel, your Steam name and roughly when you stream. That is all we need. We add you, and from then on your channel shows up here automatically whenever you are live.
